It has been awhile since I blogged. I think I need to change my cell phone plan and start mobile blogging. Not posting does not mean I haven't had ideas. I just haven't had the time to blog them.
After seeing swings on trains today, I started thinking. Maybe swings on trains aren't safe, but what about rocking chairs? I know it sounds a little crazy, but if it was secured to the floor on a base and maybe tethered to the wall of the bus or train with some sort of spring or stretchy twine/cable/elastic it might be just crazy enough to work. I think they would be calming to grumpy commuters. Also, who hasn't see and heard a grumpy child on the bus or train? If parent could sit and rock said child, it would be good for all.
Rocking chairs on public transportation: Yeah? Nay?

What a week!
O.K. It is just insanity these days. I am trying to pull it all together. This week I had two papers due, two new interns to train at Teen Voices, two books to read, two people to interview, and two medical appointments.
Now I have two loads of laundry to do, two loads of dishes to wash, two letters to write, two craft projects to finish.
I guess you could say, I had a case of the terrible twos.
In short, too much to do!

At Long Last
Hello! It has been a long time since I posted about my daily doings. I guess part of this is because I am busy, part of this is because many of these things have now become second nature thanks to this blog, and part of this is because my routine has been turned on its head a bit with my husband traveling for work a lot in the past couple of weeks. After two weeks of travel, he is home for a week before heading out on another week long trip a week from today. Crazy, but still productive.

Secretary Skills
A lot of the things I did at Teen Voices today were secretarial in nature. All of them were important. I don't think I am above any of these tasks, but I have been a secretary before. I want to be an editor. So, I think there should be secretarial interns to take care of the little odds and ends. Being a secretary is complicated and important. There is lots to know and, in my experience, there are many things you are expected to figure out on your own along the way. I think offering secretarial internships would be beneficial to companies and to the interns.
